Is your theatre group looking for a low cost production that will bring in a healthy profit? Maybe you have limited props, costumes or cast. Or perhaps you wish to stage a charity event. In 1997 we began to write short murder mystery plays aimed at amateur theatre groups. Performance costs were kept low and the plays were moulded around the available actors and resources.
Our first murder mystery was a glowing success, enjoyed by audience and cast alike. The icing on the cake was the impressive profit made by the drama group concerned. We at Murdering The Text have made it our goal to provide high quality scripts, supporting documentation and personal advice and support at every level.
All of our material has been tried and tested before it appears on our site. This has been undertaken with our direct involvement, through close friends with our assistance or through groups who have commissioned custom written scripts.
