Welcome to the first seasonal newsletter for Murdering The Text.
2009 has been a progressive year for us here at Murdering The Text. We have improved and updated our website, resulting in a completely new ‘character-ful’ look. Along with the familiar sections, you’ll also find new features such as Other Plays, Director’s Notes, What Do You Get For Your Money and New Upcoming Plays.
Amateur Dramatic Groups Available for Fundraisers
Another new, exciting feature is a list of am dram groups who are available to perform Murdering The Text murder mysteries for fundraisers. If your group would like to appear on this list, please send or email me your group name, contact details and the geographical area you cover. This is a free service for both amateur dramatics groups and fundraisers.
Blog, blog, blog...
Yes, we have a blog too. It started earlier this year and is an accompanying voice to the website. You’ll find articles relating to amateur dramatics and murder mysteries, plus Murdering The Text news and a calendar of events listing your future MTT productions.
Comic Strip
A little back story is always handy when getting to know your character.
Follow the weird and wacky world of the staff from Waxworks of Horror in our fortnightly comic strip.
You can find it on the home page of the website, along with a link to the comic strip archive in case you missed any.
Murdering The Text goes dot com
With an increasing number of overseas customers and online traffic from outside the UK, we decided it was time to give Murdering The Text a more global presence online. In addition to murderingthetext.co.uk, there is now also a murderingthetext.com website. Everything else is just the same.
Seasonal Plays
Planning a Hallowe’en production? Why not have a look at Waxworks of Horror and Bride and Doom. Based in a creepy waxworks museum, the characters include a zombie, a headless ghost and a vampire, to name but a few of the ghastly cast. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Mwahahahahahaha!
Calendar of Events
We can now offer you free publicity for your Murdering The Text production on our blog as an inclusion on our calendar of events.
Well, that’s all the excitement for this newsletter. Until we meet again (in December), why not follow us on Facebook.
All the best,
Fiona
